At precent Sonu Nigam had pledged to keep away from films. The upshot is that he has signed a film, Aankhon Aankhon Mein, which tells the story of a bilnd singer. The singer however insist that he is not attempting to re-establish his carrer as an actor and wants to do the film purely for its taut script.

Sonu says,” My friend Akashdeep has been planning to do this film for the longest time. When he had offered it to me earlier, I was’nt quite interested . I had turned it down. But when I read the script, I founf it extremely interesting. We are yet to fgure out the dates as I’m presently touring the US and I will be back this month end.”

Sonu Nigam has acted in Jaani Dushman:Ek Anokhi Kahani, Kaash…..Aap Kamare Hote and Love in Nepal.

Sonu is also compsing the music of the film. He say that his main interest continues to be music.He completely aware of strength but he is open to ecperiment at the same time. Akashdeep says,” We are very good friends. One fine day he walked in my house and I knew that only he colud portray the singer in my film.”

The film is inspired by a popular play, Titlee, producer by Alyque padamsee. The play’s case included director Akashdeep and he played the part of a physically challenged singer. His co-star was Sharon Prabhakar. Akashdeep says,” We had enacted over 100 shows back then . I’ve been planning to turn it into a film for a long time.”

Akshay will perform a nine and a half minute medley Punjab folk song and two songs from Namastey Londan-’Rafta Rafta’and Chakna which where his latest hits.This will be the first time an Indian actor perfromlive on stage with the RDB group.

Akshay say,”Diversification is the name of the game . My audience expect me to give then something new evry time I perform and thats the reason I always try and do some thing different in evry stage show.”

Sameera is Back after a long brake in the film Fool ‘N’ Final, The film is directed by Buddhadev Dasgupta, about her role she say, My charactor in this film is quite different though my role is not exactly like the “SATI SAVITRI” type, yet she is soft person, autually she has emotional angle in the film. this kind of role she has ever played before. There are 14 charactor in this film, each one has different story, just like “Darna mana Hai” there is lot of entertainment in this film. Finally she say’s the film is totaly paisa vasool”

She is doing two mainstream films with buddhadev Dasgupta and the other film is “The Voyeurs” ,this film showcasaes the problems created by cell phones having cameras by which people use to shoot any thing they like it would be something vulger which hurts other people emotions. she says the movie puts forward the question of what is good and what is bad. The film has been completed just on the way to the Toronto Film Festival. Finally it will be screend at Berlin and will be released in August

She is also working on a short film on AIDS Awareness. She tells about her film on AIDS titled “Migration”, it is a very hot hitting film, the manner in which we worked for the film was very soft and hot, besides this there are four directors working in this film namely Mira Nair,vishal Bharbwaj, farhan Akhtar and Shankar Shivan,and Actors like Irfan Khan and Shiney Ahuja for the first time. To get maximum exposure the film will be screened with every new release.
